Andrew Shields was sponsored by the Fairmont Lions Club to the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar last summer and was invited to tell the club members about his experiences. The HOBY motto is, “lead, empower, excel,” said Andrew. “I'm really thankful you...sponsored me.” The Fairmont Lions Club sponsors a student from East Fairmont High School and a student from Fairmont Senior High School to the HOBY Seminar each year. He was presented a Certificate of Appreciation from Jacob Brumage, president of the Fairmont Lions Club.
