The Fairmont Lions Club has sponsored a Christmas party for underprivileged children at Fairmont's Union Mission for 69 years. This year, the Club purchased and wrapped gifts for about 100 children. Thanks to additional community support, additional gifts were wrapped by club members and over 180 children received toys, hats and mittens or gloves. The party had to be canceled due to weather, but the gifts were presented in time for Christmas.
